After completing your Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you can choose from several Master's degree programmes that allow you to specialise in a particular subject. Depending on your interests, you can choose from various programmes. We will be happy to advise you if you have any problems deciding.

Master's degree programmes that can be linked to the Bachelor's degree

If you are aiming for a Master's degree, it is important to choose the right modules in your Bachelor's degree. This will secure you access to your desired Master's programme without any conditions. We have put together sample study plans for you to help you stay on the right track. If you want to change your direction later, you can make up for missing modules in the first year of your Master's degree.

Master degree programme

  • Sustainable engineering

With a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you will be admitted directly and unconditionally to the Master's degree programme in Sustainable Engineering.

  • Mechanical engineering

With a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you are directly admitted to the Master's degree programme in Mechanical Engineering without any conditions.

  • Optical technologies

With a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you are admitted to the Master's degree programme in Optical Technologies without any conditions if you have taken optics as a compulsory elective module.

  • Production and logistics

With a successfully completed Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you will be admitted directly and unconditionally to the Master's degree programme in Production and Logistics.

  • Mechatronics and robotics

For direct admission to the Master's in Mechatronics and Robotics without conditions, you should take a module from Measurement and Control Engineering and Engineering Mechanics in the compulsory elective area. Otherwise, you will be required to take the corresponding modules in the first year of the Master's degree programme.

  • Biomedical engineering

In order to be admitted to the Master's degree programme in Biomedical Engineering, you should already have acquired the medical basics in the compulsory elective area during your Bachelor's degree programme in Sustainable Engineering and take the following two modules:

    • Biomedical Engineering for Engineers I (winter semester)
    • and Biocompatible Materials (summer semester)

Alternatively, you will be required to take the corresponding modules in the first year of your Master's degree programme.

  • Electrical engineering and information technology

If you would like to join the Master's degree programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology after your Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, you must first complete the specialist internship. In addition, you should already attend the ‘Control Engineering II’ module in the compulsory elective area during your Bachelor's degree and earn at least 15 ECTS credits from the specialisation in Automation and Digitalisation. You can take all modules from the specialisation into consideration. Alternatively, you will be given corresponding requirements for the Master's degree.

  • Environmental Engineering

If you are aiming for a Master's degree programme in Environmental Engineering after your Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, all compulsory elective modules are freely available to you. However, a specialisation in the focus area ‘Environmental Protection and Water Management’ is recommended. Admission to the Master's degree programme is unconditional.

  • Power Engineering and Energy Technology

If you would like to complete a Master's degree programme in Energy Technology or the double-degree programme Energy Technology after your Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Engineering, the following criteria must be met:

    • the specialist internship must be completed in the Master's degree programme
    • Power Electronics I and Energy Supply I should be taken
    • a further module must be selected from the specialisation ‘Development and Construction’
