The Double Degree in Sustainable Engineering offers you the unique opportunity to shape your academic career in an international and future-oriented way. The study programme is offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at LUH together with the School of Energy Systems at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland and is organised as part of the EULiST university alliance. The School of Energy Systems at LUT is the ideal partner institution for this double degree programme, as the institution is characterised by a very integrative sustainability-oriented approach and, with its focus on sustainable production and manufacturing technology, energy systems and recycling, is well aligned with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at LUH. Qualification goals

Graduates of the Sustainable Engineering double degree programme are experts in technical challenges that aim to achieve social goals in the areas of consistency, resilience, sufficiency and efficiency in industrial development and production processes.

They are also able to look at engineering issues in the context of sustainability from different perspectives and scrutinise established research approaches from new, sustainable angles.
